Leprechaun Traps
Click images to see them larger.
Wonder what these are? They are leprechaun traps. We’ve found no leprechauns in our traps, but they remain ready to catch one. Thomas, one of my five-year-old grandtwins, informs me that if a leprechaun gets caught, they have to give you their pot of gold and then you will be rich, rich, rich! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.
Today finds us on our last leg home from South Carolina. Our daughter, Elizabeth, came home a week early from her what could have been the trip of a lifetime to Ghana. She wanted to get back to the US in case international travel was shut down. Traveling to Africa and back in one week was taxing. She arrived tired and dehydrated. She ate something before she left that upset her stomach, which added to her dilemma. We didn’t hug her what she returned, and we kept her at arm’s length. What a day for a daydream.
Two worn-out phrases are gaining popularity: better safe than sorry and an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. They mean to use common sense and avoid risks. They are especially appropriate in these times.
Things are on track for our home to close on May 4th. We’ve found a storage place in Mt. Pleasant and our RV is already there, waiting for us. Hopefully the health crisis will be over by May and life will have returned to normal, whatever that is.
Here’s a positive statement that might help us deal with the days ahead.
My day is filled with good. No person, place, or circumstance can stand in the way of my good. I use my guidance to keep me safe and I use my thoughts to keep my mind sturdy and calm. I am always in the right place at the right time. My finances work on my behalf, regardless of outer circumstances. I am healthier each day and all situations work for my highest good. It’s a great time to relax and have more joy per moment (JPM). I say “yes” and make it so.
And that’s it for the Anne Report.

Accessing Our Good
I stumbled across the Infinite when I was a young child. A small surgery required ether, and that ether changed me forever. While under what we now see as primitive anesthesia, I went down a tunnel and, though I have little memory of what transpired, I awakened with an insatiable curiosity for life and meaning. As a kid I would look out my open window and sense something vast. I would try to crawl into the moment. It was bigger than what I could see, but something spoke of another world, one that was right under my nose, and I strained to find it. Now I know it was the world of metaphysics. “Meta” means “beyond,” and I sensed something beyond what I could touch with my five senses.
I read voraciously. I lived in Greenville, NC, and there weren’t many books on metaphysics in the library in the early sixties, but I eagerly read what I could find. Later in life, while in my 20’s, I discovered hundreds of books that pointed to the endless mystery of life. I was surprised. I thought myself a little offbeat but was overjoyed to discover there were more like me. I dropped out of college at 19. I married and couldn’t deal with leaving my husband to return to a campus that was seven hours away. Young love is intense. Even though I wasn’t in school, I continued my education. I lived in a world that hovered close to what most describe as reality; I knew there was more. I walked between the inner worlds and the outer worlds, in my indefatigable search for truth. Finally, I returned to complete my college education. I was delighted and surprised to find a riveting book in my college library bookstore. I was familiar with the author, Joseph Murphy. He sported some heavy credentials, with a Doctorate in Religious Science, a Doctorate in Philosophy, a Doctorate in Divinity, and a Doctorate in Law. “He must know something, and he’s an academic too!” I read his book from cover to cover and return to the book every few years. The book is The Cosmic Power Within. (Through what seems like common day practice today, but a miracle in the past, you can listen to the complete audio here.) The book promises to spell out the secrets of a life-changing art that can deliver physical, spiritual, and career success.
Given the coronavirus and the recent stock market activity, it’s a good time to revisit his ideas. He tells the story of a man who was held up at gun point. The man suffered from crippling arthritis and was unable to bend his knees. The thief told him to get down on his knees. The man responded, “I have arthritis. I can’t bend my knees.” The thief yelled, “Get on your knees or I’ll shoot you.” And then the miracle happened. The man easily bent down on his knees. It was a case of mind over matter; he had a powerful incentive. Most of us don’t have a gun pointed at our heads, and I pray we never do, but we do need motivation to change our beliefs about our abilities to heal and stay healthy, especially with today’s mass hysteria over catching the coronavirus. I don’t want to diminish the seriousness of the situation, but we can care for ourselves without tuning into the current psychic paranoia.
Imagine readying yourself to climb a mountain. You take lessons from expert mountain climbers who teach you to perfect your climbing skills. You get in shape through exercise, plan your trip, and pack all the supplies you will need for a successful climb. You travel to your destination and follow common sense rules to make sure your journey to the mountain is safe. You might be afraid of what lies ahead, but you possess an equal amount of enthusiasm. You wouldn’t pretend there was no danger, and you do everything you can to ensure a safe and pleasurable climb. You arrive at the mountain and climb with caution, but also take time to admire the breathtaking views. You feel your strength as you climb, and when you arrive at the top, you feel a reverence for life and humbled by what you see. It is the adventure of a lifetime.
Now let’s stretch our imaginations – a lot! Imagine that this world situation of today is our mountain to climb. What can we do to make the climb easier and safer? We can read the recommendations of health experts, take precautions, and look meticulously at our belief systems. We can wash our hands, avoid crowds, and stay away from people who have tested positive for COVID-19. But we also need to take as much care of our expectations and beliefs as we do our physical safety. Are our beliefs in illness stronger than our beliefs in health? What can this pandemic teach us about ourselves and our beliefs? I had a friend who picked up his daughter from basketball practice. He had a high fever and no energy. He was coughing and out of breath. His daughter asked him to shoot hoops with her. He reluctantly agreed, and it may have been a little wacky to do so, but they started playing. After a few minutes, he got a rush of energy. They were having so much fun. When he walked off the basketball court, he was completely healed. It appears that his having fun changed his body system.
While we don’t want to be an ostrich and keep our heads in the sand, we also don’t want to buy into the mass hysteria of the day. Even if we were to contract the virus, it would be best to meet it with a metaphysical attitude rather than one of fear. A metaphysician looks for the deeper meaning in everything and remembers the truth of Being. I recently talked to a woman who encountered great losses over the past three years. She was happy and announced that even though her life appeared miserable for a period of time, her higher good was always working on her behalf. In hindsight she could see how everything worked for her good. “Who could have guessed I would be here now?” she beamed. Now is the time to trust that our higher good is working in our lives, and when we do, we can claim our good and know it stands tall. Even if we must stand on our tippy toes to see our good, it is our responsibility to count on our good, even in the direst of situations, and when we do, everything is EZier and EZier.

Abundance Affirmations
This group is a place to post uplifting affirmations and thoughts about prosperity and abundant living. Let’s create a right relationship with money so that we feel comfortable about money. Let’s use money as it’s meant to be used, and not as a way to accumulate power or to fill a void. We don’t need money to buy more stuff. We need it to create a world that works for everyone. We want to cast off old beliefs of lack and reclaim our natural state of abundance. Anne, AKA Dr. Money, posts a nightly goodnight video for the prosperity team, and everyone who watches those videos becomes a part of the prosperity team.
You too can join the Prosperity Team by watching Anne’s Dr. Money channel.
