  The Anne Report

The Anne Report

Dear ,

We took the grands to the beach the other day. While they are good swimmers in the creek and in the pool, this was their first day in the ocean, when they could swim, ride the waves, and body surf. Grandpoppy and I supervised. The boys were exuberant. I think it may be my favorite day ever at the beach. They yelled and squealed with delight. “I am having so much fun.” And that fun was contagious. They were not the only ones doing their thing. I often do a Chi Gong exercise called pushing waves. That day I did my exercise in the water and pushed the waves with my upturned hands. I felt in tune with the water and its spirit. In Chi Gong, the water element represents the kidneys.

Join team Anne. My friend, Holli Pretti Mullins, has been praying with me on Thursdays from 1:30 to 1:45 EST. It is remote healing at its finest. And if you could take 5 minutes or more to join us, I would appreciate it. This is the affirmation Holli asked me to focus on: "I am open and receptive to the healing power of the Holy Spirit. I am Whole and Well." Studies show prayer to be as valid and vital a healing tool as drugs or surgery. We can pray though petition, affirmation, visualization, and even song. Praying for others is not only a way to serve others; it is also a way to serve ourselves. We give away a carbon copy, but keep the original prayer within ourselves, for ourselves. August 13 is the day of surgery. That gives me a bit of time to prepare my mind and body.

As I may have mentioned, I had a vision of myself in a hospital, as a patient, a couple of weeks before we moved from Texas. It was a strange and unwelcomed vision, but it was a prophecy. I love it when I get a positive prophecy, of which I have had many, but I have had unpleasant prophecies as well. Prophecies seem like miracles. They collapse time by reaching into the future and returning with information. And that is it for the Anne Report.

How to Respond When the Shit Hits the Fan

We live in unusual times. The thought, “One day the shit is going to hit that fan,” probably crosses our minds frequently. And if you think as I do, I believe the shit has already hit the fan, numerous times. The following is an excerpt from a Facebook post.

Imagine you were born in 1900. On your 14th birthday, World War I starts, and ends on your 18th birthday. 22 million people perished in that war. Later in the year, a Spanish Flu epidemic hits the planet and runs until your 20th birthday. 50 million people die from it in those two years. Yes, 50 million. On your 29th birthday, the Great Depression begins. Unemployment hits 25%, the World GDP drops 27%. That runs until you are 33. The country nearly collapses, along with the world economy. When you turn 39, World War II starts. You aren’t even over the hill yet. And don’t try to catch your breath. On your 41st birthday, the United States is fully pulled into WWII. Between your 39th and 45th birthday, 75 million people perish in the war.”

EZier living is not about denying that merde is present, excuse my French; maybe even prominent. EZier living is about where we put our focus. Someone who went through wars, a pandemic, and the Great Depression, knew a bit about emotional survival in times of upheaval and financial uncertainty.

Regardless of what happens in the world, modern psychology teaches us that we must take care of our spirits, thoughts, and emotions. We want to feed our minds positive thoughts when the world is in chaos, not as pretention that nothing is wrong, but because we know something is wrong. We say to ourselves, “These are tough times, but I must take time to bring joy into my life.” After all, joy is the true fuel of life. Yet, it is difficult to put our minds on things that feed our souls. We are mesmerized by terror and intensity, and there is plenty of terror in the world to focus on. Life’s drama is like a car wreck on the side of the road. We cannot turn away. That is why I am an ambassador for EZ (ease). I seek to convince myself and others about the tragedy of ego driven suffering and to point us toward EZier living. People dying is tragic. Suffering about people dying, especially if you did not know them, shouldn’t be a full-time occupation. When we suffer all the time about others’ suffering, we suffer from secondhand suffering. We cannot let others’ genuine suffering, or even ego driven suffering, rule our lives.

Being miserable twenty-four hours a day is the ego’s blessing. (When I refer to ego, I am referring to egoic mind.) Misery provides a powerful drama fix. Escaping the ego’s rule is part of our life’s work. Providing a space for joy and ease should be our daily mission. People say, “I feel guilty feeling okay when so many are suffering.” When we have the privilege of having enough to eat, bills paid, and a place to live, and do not have to spend every waking moment searching to meet our basic needs, as many people do, we have privilege. Given our privilege, it is not wise to forego joy. The people who are wishing to be in our place, expect to be happier when their basic needs are met. They do not need us to suffer because they suffer. If we can help without putting ourselves in jeopardy, then we should do so, but suffering over others, on a continual basis, puts us in another kind of jeopardy.

Compassion and empathy are gifts of the soul. We carry them through life, but a life without some joy, is a sacrilege. We can learn from our pain, but we must be led by our joy. We need joy on a regular basis. If Norman Vincent Peale and others had not come up with positive thinking and other positive mind sciences, we might still be glorifying synthetic suffering. Consciousness is growing up. When I dialogued with my alleged cancerous tumor, I asked it what it needed. It responded immediately, “Joy.” If I can believe my intuition, even cancer needs a break, or at least it needs me to take a break from misery.

The following quote is credited to the Hopi elder, White Eagle, who addressed current conditions: “Learn about resistance of the indigenous and African peoples; we have always been, and continue to be, exterminated. But we still haven’t stopped singing, dancing, lighting a fire, and having fun. Don’t feel guilty about being happy during this difficult time.”

It is time to transform the meaning of shit. How about Super Happy Interesting Times? We could get up in the morning and say, “Oh, SHIT. Today there will be Super Happy Interesting Times.” We could rejoice at the phrase, “Shit happens.” The world is in a mess, but unless we bless the mess, and give up our terminal seriousness, at least part of the time, our personal doomsday prediction will come true. We will suffer endlessly. Let us take time from our misery, bless our mess, participate in Super Happy Interesting Times, and make our lives EZier and EZier.

Suppose someone told you that you could change your life radically, for the better, if you spent just three minutes a day doing inner work? Would you believe it? Maybe not, but wouldn't it be worth an investment of three minutes a day to try it?

The Living Book offers just this. Devote three minutes a day to this process and your life will become a living testimony to the seed principle. A tiny seed can grow into a mighty tree, but it must be planted. Plant your daily seed for three short minutes and notice both subtle and miraculous changes in your life. In addition to the daily practice, one can use the process when they are stumped or afraid or angry. This process transforms anger into love. When we plant seeds of light into our thoughts and emotional bodies, we move into higher frequencies of well-being.

The Living Book, by Anne Sermons Gillis. Paperback $4.95 plus $3.00 shipping. PDF Download $0.99. Kindle Book $2.99.

Join Anne’s Facebook Group

This group is a place to post uplifting affirmations and thoughts about prosperity and abundant living. Let’s create a right relationship with money so that we feel comfortable about money. Let’s use money as it’s meant to be used, and not as a way to accumulate power or to fill a void. We don’t need money to buy more stuff. We need it to create a world that works for everyone. We want to cast off old beliefs of lack and reclaim our natural state of abundance. Anne, AKA Dr. Money, posts a nightly goodnight video for the prosperity team, and everyone who watches those videos becomes a part of the prosperity team.
