I'm an "exhale nut." Recently I let you in on my exhale secret. Here's the article. http://archive.aweber.com/theezsecret/GRFSo/h/The_EZ_Secret_Tips_on_Living.htm
When we focus on the exhale, we tune into the restorative breath. We "let go" when we exhale. The more we "let go," the more we find what already exists - an always present, all-pervading stillness and peace that the body can experience.
We live in a stress-filled culture. Our sympathetic nervous systems are taxed. Soothing exercises, such as watching the exhale, support the parasympathetic nervous system. That system tries to de-stress our stress. Even better, when we let go of the all too familiar stress, we find unimaginable treasures of the spirit.

Letting Go Exercise
|
Want to let go even more? This amazing "letting go" exercise may seem a little out there, but I know you love to be out there. Find a quiet place and a time when you are not rushed. You can do this lying down or sitting up. This is a great exercise to do right before you go to sleep. Lightly touch your face while making the "E" sound. Touch your neck, back of head - go down the body, continuing the sound. Feel the pleasure of your touch. Touch offers great pleasure, but we have to tune into the pleasure because it's subtle, and if our mind is bustling, we will miss it. Touch, a tender intention, and focus are the keys to this exercise.

Physical Pleasure
|
Physical pleasure takes the body out of the fight or flight response. If you find yourself getting angry or arguing frequently, you may be addicted to the fight or flight adrenalin rush. "Letting go" exercises wean us from a habitually explosive or argumentative reality. Often people, who call themselves skeptics are habituated to accustomed chemical responses in the body. Feeling lonely for the rush; blow up - that's the biological urge. Letting go exercises help change the body's chemistry so we can experience the ongoing comfort and joy of life while dropping the need for drama. These words to the song, Let it Go give us pause. Singing is another way to "Let Go."You can listen to the song by clicking on
the link and scrolling down to Let it Go and clicking on the mp3 link. http://mindprod.com/livinglove/methods/songs.html Let it go - let it go , And watch your life flow. Don't let the good life pass you by; Let it go - let it go . It's the only way I know To find love peace and happiness
and rainbows in the sky. Don't hang on to your problems. Don't hang on to your tears. Lift up your heart with laughter; Now let go of all your fears. Where's the happy ever after You've waited for all these years The answer's locked inside your heart, A prisoner of your fears.
