A Note From Anne
Dear ,
Sending you some ease for any situation you are facing today. We all have things to deal with that don’t feel warm and fuzzy, but we have a philosophy that helps us hop out of our egos and into an easier dimension. There’s absolutely nothing that can’t be made a little easier. When we carry the intention of ease into our day and bring the fundamentals of EZosophy into our daily lives, we take on the power of unflappability. Forgotten the EZ Vows? Here’s a refresher. Have a great week and let’s make this an EZ or at least EZier day.
And P.S.: Happy Birthday today to my husband, Jim Gibson. We will both be working the polls today. Please vote: Not voting isn’t rebelling; it’s surrender.

Making a “Wrong Day” Better
Wednesday I taught a class on EZosophy. I don’t think I have ever had so many things go wrong in one day. I took the wrong turn, I had called and was given incorrect directions, the GPS couldn’t reroute me due to construction, and I ended up in a field. Finally I arrived at the class and had computer problems, phone problems, iPad problems, microphone problems. It was a day blessed by Murphy.
EZosophy is a philosophy that points us toward the flow, but there are days when everything goes wrong. These are the very days that EZosophy has its greatest power. I didn’t feel victimized; I was somewhat amused because I had never witnessed such a perfect storm of everything going wrong.
It’s great when we can see, feel, and experience the flow, but when we don’t, it’s easier when we don’t act like spoiled brats and whine the proverbial chant, “Why does this always happen to me?”
Things will go wrong, but when they do, it’s best for us to avoid going wrong too. Better for us to go right and become nonjudgmental witnesses of what’s happening. It may not be easy, but it is easier that having a hard attack. Let’s live in action, not in reaction, to the events of our day, and surely, life will be EZier and EZier.

Going Barefoot
I used to go barefoot all the time. I frolicked in and out of doors with naked feet. I liked the cool feel of the earth. I felt connected and grounded. Then I moved to Texas. In just a few weeks I became an avowed shoe wearer. What happened? It was the cunning sting of a tiny insect – the fire ant. Every time I put my barefoot down when I was outside, I received a piercing sting that was followed by days of intense inching and scratching.
I forgot how much I enjoyed the earth connection. Today I marched outside and plopped myself down on a wicker chair in a fire ant free zone. I pulled up my sweater sleeves, faced the sun, and planted my bare feet in the grass. Everything slowed down. I saw a dead worm, flies, two mosquitoes, and an anole. I almost felt the green of the surrounding plants and trees. The air was crisp, life was living itself, and I felt myself as a part of that flow.
I’ve heard that the earth has a magnetic flow just as we have a magnetic flow in our bodies. When we stay inside, hooked to magnetic interrupting devices such as TV’s and computers, our energy flow is slowed or sapped.
RunBare.com cites ten health benefits from going barefoot, including gaining greater balance, developing stronger muscles, and healthier feet. Read all the benefits here. The article doesn’t address the energy connection, but it gives almost everyone a good reason to walk barefooted at least some of the time. I’m not spending much time on a tile floor without a sole to cushion the impact, but I plan to be outside more often without my shoes. It will take some planning not to step in the wrong place, but I can do that. I hope you will join me and set your feet free at least a few minutes each day. Go outside and put your feet in the earth. Be relaxed and join the flow.
