  The Anne Report

Summer in South Carolina

Dear ,

We been in South Carolina for a week. I’ve had a great time. My big moment came when I bent over a dock and my glasses fell into the water. The water was several feet deep and had a mud bottom. My son-in-law borrowed a net and dredged the spot for a long time. I I thanked him and told him to give up. He did, but he decided to try again before we left, and he found the glasses. It was wonderful. These are not just reading glasses; they are seeing glasses. Funny how such a small thing can cause so much disturbance. We were already formulating plans on what to do, since I did not bring an extra pair of glasses, but, fortunately, circumstances quickly changed.

Elizabeth's Back Yard View

We have our RV parked beside my daughter's home. It's not allowed in this neighborhood, but the RV is behind a fence and only the top peeps out. No complaints so far. We will move to a campground later this week. We have electricity here, but not the right connection to run the AC. Fortunately, the weather has been cooler, so I am sleeping in the RV. Jim has chosen to stay in the main house with the AC. It's neat RV camping outside of the house. I have my own privacy and love it. We can even get Wi-Fi from the house, so I'm connected. The house sits on tidal water. We can kayak, sit on the dock, and enjoy the many sea birds passing by. It's going to be a great summer. That's it for this week's Anne Report.

Celebrations to Start the Day

Our mindset in the morning determines the way we act and react throughout the day. Every morning I pray for those I love and for some I don't love so much at the time. Next, I set my intention for the day. "My intention for today is to live a joy-filled and abundant life." Setting the intention is like rolling out the red carpet of desire. Intentions pave the way for the day. It's a powerful custom.

Brain wave activity slows at night. When we wake up, our minds are still operating at a lowered frequency. We go through an almost hypnotic state as we emerge from sleep. The mind is vulnerable before and after sleep. Whatever we see, hear, and even think, goes directly to the mind, without protection. Our minds need protection.

If you want to develop a state of consciousness that supports peace of mind, you will not want to listen to radio or TV during these times. Reading the newspaper before prayers or meditation is also a detriment to a firm state of mind.

Morning time is the ideal time for spiritual practices, such as prayer, meditation, exercise, inspirational reading, dream work, and journaling. Use the following prayers to plug into the unlimited good awaiting you today.

God's Good Day

I thrill to the possibilities of life today. I plan on unexpected and unlimited good. I am prepared to meet my good. I am filled with enthusiasm, and I have an enthusiastic outlook on life. The outer world is a reflection of my inner world, so I maintain thoughts of peace, health, abundance, and gratitude in my mind.

Since my thoughts are creative, I keep pictures of success in my mind. Even though I walk through the valley of the most embarrassing thoughts, I will fear no evil, because my intention is to live in love, and I can count on grace to deliver me from retribution. I believe that unconditional good showers my life, and I am prepared to live in my good. AMEN.

Perfect Day Prayer

Today is my perfect day because I choose to create it as perfect. I choose peace by allowing Your will to be in my life today. Dance through me, God. Breathe through me.

Today you are my speaking and my listening. I know that you go before me, blessing each moment and smoothing my path. I take delight in participating in your Divine Plan. I am surrounded by inner feelings of fulfillment, abundance, and freedom.

Today is a turning point. Miracles meet me wherever I go. I accept your indwelling presence. My mind opens to your wisdom. I feel safe and innocent. I give myself permission to relax, take breaks, and to have fun.

Your voice calls out to me when I forget, and I fall gently into Your loving arms, finding a peace so deep and still that I am no longer disturbed by the world.

Your inner Presence provides an energy blessing wherever I go. My friends and family are profoundly touched by your love as it flows through me. Today is my perfect day because I choose to create it as perfect. AMEN.

Have You Made Your Leap Today? Celebrate Leap Day.

Today is an adventure, God. I forgot - again. I look upon today as if it is going to be just like all the other days I have created. No more. I will not chain this day to my past beliefs. I set today free. I free this day to be unknown. I free this day to be a LEAP DAY, a day I leap from the past into the present. I am willing to let go of my humdrum thoughts and release my mind to hum. I will concentrate more on my "can do" list than on my "to do" list. I will concentrate more on my "want to do" list than on my "should do" list.

I will be downright peaceful in the face of my recycled drama. I will hold back my criticisms and freely share my compliments. To make it short and simple, God, I am willing and ready to change my thoughts, attitudes, and belief systems, today, tomorrow, and every day.

I choose to take that leap of faith every day and to be open and expecting of my good. I leap by expecting life to be free, fun, and easy. Today I leap into Your love. I won't look back. Now is enough. Leap Day is here. AMEN and hurray!

Anne Quotes

"The mechanism through which we think is scarred by irrelevant details about inconsequential and delusional data."

"Blessings abound; our lives rebound; the heavens resound; and we are bound to our stories of suffering. The incessant dialogue about the trials of our lives provides the story, but our glory does not rest in the story, but in the realization of what lies beyond the story. Waking up is our best option, but until we want the natural light of reality, we will continue our spin on life. We are spin doctors. We doctor reality to the point it's unrecognizable. This doesn't make us bad people; it makes us ignorant. We ignore the truth as we cozy up with our personal agenda and the stories this agenda manufactures."

"People approach intuition as if it is special gift, but intuition is natural. We all have it, but too often we've been educated to listen to the voice of the authorities, such as teachers and parents. Unintentionally, they've beaten our minds into submission, and we held it down after their departure, until that still, small voice of inner knowing was drowned out by intellect, logic, and gobbledygook."

Join Anne's Facebook Group

This group is a place to post uplifting affirmations and thoughts about prosperity and abundant living. Let's create a right relationship with money so that we feel comfortable about money. Let's use money as it's meant to be used, and not as a way to accumulate power or to fill a void. We don't need money to buy more stuff. We need it to create a world that works for everyone. We want to cast off old beliefs of lack and reclaim our natural state of abundance.

  The Living Book

Suppose someone told you that you could change your life radically, for the better, if you spent just three minutes a day doing inner work? Would you believe it? Maybe not, but wouldn't it be worth an investment of three minutes a day to try it?

The Living Book offers just this. Devote three minutes a day to this process and your life will become a living testimony to the seed principle. A tiny seed can grow into a mighty tree, but it must be planted. Plant your daily seed for three short minutes and notice both subtle and miraculous changes in your life. In addition to the daily practice, one can use the process when they are stumped or afraid or angry. This process transforms anger into love. When we plant seeds of light into our thoughts and emotional bodies, we move into higher frequencies of well-being.

I'm A Chewer

I come from a long line of chewers. My mom was an avid gum chewer. My paternal grandmother chewed tobacco. I live in the south, and everywhere I look, there are gum chewers. Some chewers are discreet, while others noisily chomp, smack, and spray. I think of myself as a closet chewer, at least in public. I hold the gum in the side of my mouth, and when no one's looking, I bite into my crack. Yes, gum is crack to me.

Gum was my partner when my fiancé left me. It took me through divorce, a baby, remarriage, the purchase of a new home, the loss of my mom and dad, the death of my pets, and a stock market fiasco.

I write best while I'm chewing. I even think it exercises my face. It keeps me awake when I'm driving and gives my mouth something to do when I want to eat. Chewing keeps my mouth moist, takes away bad tastes, and makes me kissable.

I quit chewing gum sweetened with artificial sweeteners years ago; I figured real sugar was better for me than those mind-altering, waist-expanding substitutes. One day I decided to look at the ingredients in the sugary based gum I used. What in the heck was in my mouth? It was not a pretty picture. It was an OMG moment. I had been chewing – are you ready for this? RUBBER! I was chewing tires, or at least pre-tire material. My relationship with gum might be my longest, most secure relationship, but now my relationship was threatened.

I went for days without gum. Memories of bygone times pierced my waking moments. I missed the jaw action and that first chomp into a fresh piece of heaven. I longed for the sensuous feel in my mouth when I rolled my gum from side to side. This would never do; I went on a gum quest. Where do the real gum gods reside? I must find them; I must satisfy the deep soul call of my gum destiny. I needed a new gum mate.

I found some gum, some cool, wonderful gum, but cost made it prohibitive. I mean I would not spend 3 or 4 dollars on a pack of gum, and I found that all natural gum was not equal. But I did find one gum that stood out: Glee Gum. Glee Gum is all natural chewing gum made with sustainably harvested rainforest chicle. It is touted as the #1 healthy alternative to synthetic chewing gum and bubble gum! It contains no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or artificial sweeteners (no aspartame). I recommend the lemon lime sugarless gum. Glee Gum uses Xylitol as a sweetener. Xylitol is found naturally in the fibers of fruits and veggies like corn, raspberries, and plums. It can help benefit dental health, fight cavities, reduce plaque, and even clear nasal passages. It's a safe choice for people on restricted diets. It comes in bulk, is reasonably priced, and their staff is most personable.

So now I chew with Glee. My gum is with me as I sit and peck out a few words. I press it to the front of my mouth and take tiny bits. Bit, bit, bit - it's a game we play. I slide it to the side of my mouth and hunker down in a fleeting moment of gum ecstasy. I have found my gum-mate and it's a terrific relationship. Happy chewing to you, and if you are not a chewer, by now you may think I am loco. Chew well, eat well, and prosper. Da Gum, I'm Having Fun. Yum, Yum. Great gum.

Join the Muppets in asking that existential question, "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost over night?"
