The Anne Report
Wonderful Weekend Workshop
Dear ,
Angels, devas, nature spirits – I don’t think so, but maybe. I attended a workshop this weekend on these topics. From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, I was infused with stories, ideas, and information that made my heart stand on edge, clamoring for more.
I’ve always loved the plant world. I talk to my plants, hug my trees, and try to give them all the advantages a good mom wants for her children. And my reverence extends to lakes, rivers, and oceans; my attention even goes to the mineral kingdom. Then, again, I love the sun and the fire. I’ve always collected stones, but once I connected deeply with my rock family, I gathered them together. I wanted them to have company and placed them in a space where they had plenty of light, either in windows or outside. I love the air and the sun as well, and this weekend conference, put on by the Theosophical Society, confirmed my hunches about elementals, the spirits that underlie the elements.
Yes, there is more to life than meets the eye, and when we are bound to beliefs and use the references we were taught, we may negate our natural knowing, and we die a little. Another name for that is depression. While nature spirits may not be your thing, I was surprised to find out that they are mine. I have a connection that is so integrated that when the topic surfaced in a conference, I was swept away by a river of aha’s. I flowed into another loving aspect of Infinite Intelligence.
That wasn’t all. To bring the whole experience into focus, I must mention that I stayed with my friend, Vidya, and her two children. The children were delightful, smart, respectful, and inquisitive. I was blessed with two wonderful, homemade, Indian meals, and my relationship with my new friend deepened.
I had a few unanswered questions for our speaker, Kurt Leland, and I decided to let them drop, but it came to pass, there was another great surprise. Vidya and I got to take our speaker to Whole Foods and Half Priced Books. I got my questions answered and enjoyed my time with Kurt. Turns out Kurt is a personal hero for Vidya and she was exuberant over our good fortune.
What a weekend, what a life. Jimmy Stewart was right! And that’s it for the Anne Report.

Sexual Healing
I once had a spiritual teacher who was a sexual predator. He was my minister, and, in many ways, my mentor. I should have seen his acting out, but I was naive and young. He raped a friend of mine, but I didn’t know that until 40 years later. If I had known, I would have left. I guess I did leave. My friend left the church and went to another church, and I followed her.
This man, a man of the cloth, opened many doors for me, although he had a shadow side that allowed him to take advantage of his position. I quoted him Sunday AM from the pulpit. I didn’t mention names, and as sad and horrifying as his actions were toward women, he helped me immensely. I don’t discount that. I would have been “out of there” sooner if I had been able to see the abuse, but my family history allowed me to deny it. I too was caught in an unhealthy sexual perspective, though I didn’t know it. I was a child of the sixties, and there was a sexual liberation movement that was well-needed, but with it came a time of experimenting. There was no AIDS, no herpes, but there were few heart-centered guidelines.
I had a friend who disclosed that he was a peeping tom. He was one of my best friends and he had always treated me with respect and admiration. He asked me to read Patrick Carnes’ book, Out of the Shadows. It’s about sexual addiction. I cried when I read the book. It opened new doors of compassion in me. I never looked at my friend differently. I couldn’t excuse his behavior, but after hearing his confessions and reading the book, I saw a different point of view.
There are many women who are coming forth these days with stories of sexual abuse. People ask why they didn’t come forward sooner. Maybe it was fear, but, for me, it was because I was raised in a culture where men took advantage of women, and I didn’t even see it as wrong. I thought it was just, “This is what men do.” It was like a Stockholm Syndrome for our culture.
My husband has been great when it comes to sexual openness. He admits that he, too, has his sexual baggage. He was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, and, in their book, just being alive is practically unacceptable.
I once took my mom to a weekend retreat. She asked me some specific questions about sex. I was shocked at her naivete. She had three children, was married to a womanizer (I’m being kind with that assessment), and hardly knew anything about sex. I won’t go into details, but the generation I came from was one step away from Puritanism. Those values keep parents from allowing sex education in the schools and make sex a forbidden fruit, thus creating intrigue and mayhem around sexuality.
Take religious repression, violence, domination, and sexual liberation, mix them together, and you have a mess - a milkshake of sexual wounding. There are a few brave souls who address this. Of course, I had to put my toe into the turmoil, thinking I could contribute something of value. I gave a workshop on sexual pleasure and a seminar on sexual boundaries in the workplace, but I just scratched the surface. There’s not an easy solution, but there is a calling coming forth that demands that we, as a culture, take a closer personal look. Sexuality is a topic that, when explored, offers poignant possibilities for introspection. Sexuality is a part of the mind, body, spirit connection. It should be an intimate act, done in full awareness, that allows us to learn the deeper aspects of our being, because when we do, life becomes EZier and EZier.

Healthy Living
Abundance Mindset Checkup
My sister Lois and I are cut from the same cloth. We have the same mannerisms. We break out in song with little provocation and are ultra literate in silliness. We are clever with words and both have hazel eyes. Sometimes we are joy ninjas. She is one of my greatest supporters on the Facebook Abundance Affirmations page, as well as in life. Each night I post a video, by Dr. Money, AKA me. She always comments.
The purpose of the Abundance Affirmations page is to help us confront our unhealthy emotions about money and lack and to help us develop a healthier relationship with money. We don’t learn much about money in school nor do we learn much about emotions. We can’t be fully functioning humans unless we can effectively handle money. If we want to have a smooth relationship with money, we need to have a high emotional and financial IQ.
Lois posted this on the Abundance Affirmations page in response to one of my videos. It offers a combination of wisdom and good sense and it accurately summarizes what I’ve been talking about for the past year on the FB page.
Okay. Let's see if I have the gist of what you've been saying for a year:
Reverently, some cultures view that neutral money is to revere,
To give back, to uplift, assist, celebrate, and cheer.
We can choose to let go ever-mounting worry and fear.
We can opt to hold income as a privilege to hold dear.
Money is not the root of all evil, a reputation quite severe.
"Filthy rich" is a vision to not attract, but to steer clear.
Prefer to attract the opposite of the helpless arrears.
Expect expected and unexpected influx, my dears!
Utilize affirmations, visualizations, imitations sincere
To help attain your mindset in a more balanced sphere.
May you "Live long and prosper" and your troubles be mere.
Know you can find empathy, encouragement in this group, right now, right here!

This group is a place to post uplifting affirmations and thoughts about prosperity and abundant living. Let’s create a right relationship with money so that we feel comfortable about money. Let’s use money as it’s meant to be used, and not as a way to accumulate power or to fill a void. We don’t need money to buy more stuff. We need it to create a world that works for everyone. We want to cast off old beliefs of lack and reclaim our natural state of abundance. Anne, AKA Dr. Money, posts a nightly goodnight for the prosperity team, and everyone who watches them becomes a part of the prosperity team.
