  The Anne Report

The Anne Report

Dear ,

We arrived home Saturday evening after an almost two-week stay in S. C. with our grandchildren and family. It is tough to leave, especially when they cry, “I’m going to miss Grandpoppy and Grand Ma Ma,” with lips poked out and tears running down their faces. We promised to return in March. I’m sure that sounds like a long time to a five-year-old. During the visit, we rode around to view Christmas lights. We happened across a neighborhood bake sale and bought some brownies. Thomas asked for one. Grandpoppy said, “No, it’s too late. It will make you nervous and you won’t be able to sleep.” I replied, “He probably doesn’t know what nervous means.” Thomas gave me a hands-on-the-hips kind of look and said, “Grand Ma Ma, I am five years old. I know what nervous means. It means to get scared before you are going to do something.” I explained how words can have two meanings. Of course, when there are five-year-olds in the house, questions abound, and most of the day is spent explaining things. Those boys. Heart of my heart.

New Year’s Day brings a clean slate to our lives and another opportunity to rewrite our lives in a more prosperous and fulfilling way. Thank you for reading the newsletter. May the new year bring more beneficial outcomes than you expected and less mess than normal, and if mess does come, consider your mess pre-blessed.

Pre-Mess Blessing

All 2020 messes lead you to a higher vibration and deliver you into infinite blessings of grandeur and adventure. Yes!

And that’s it for the Anne report.

Three Steps to Healing Past Limiting Influences

If you could have anything you wanted, what would it be? Perhaps it would be a successful career, a well-matched mate, or wonderful health. All are worthy of our wanting, but suppose we dig deeper. Would we want wisdom, compassion, optimism, freedom, and zeal? Probably, because we need countless things in life, from the practical to the soul level, to live fully. The ancients knew that everyone had abilities and that people could direct those abilities toward building a life of their making, but their world was built on inequality, and enlightenment was reserved for the elite classes.

Life was more of a prison sentence than a joy for the masses. Unfortunately, this informational hierarchy created unintended consequences. People lost their centers, and apathy emerged. Sadly, this archaic programming survived, lodged in our consciousness, and became a part of our human condition. We lost our ability to dream for a better life. When we want to make a change in our lives, not only do we have to do battle with our personal history, we also have to undo the subtle influences from our ancestors. Those influences are resignation, boredom, lethargy, and a lack of curiosity. Such influences caution us to beware of everything, and when we are on the lookout to protect ourselves from all possible scenarios, there’s little energy left for robust living. Protecting ourselves consumes our curiosity, spontaneity, and adventuresome nature. When you wonder why you can’t get off your duff and do anything, know that you are dragging another way of life into the present. And it takes major work to escape the chains that bind us.

Is there a path to healing? Always. And there are many paths. Can we change? Always. Three steps we can take to heal past influences are: developing an optimistic outlook, claiming a sense of worthiness, and taking risks, even when we are afraid.

Develop an optimistic outlook. Why optimism? Our ancestors were stuck in miserable lives. Any sense of aliveness or hope, if it ever was there, died when their youth faded, at the ripe old age of eight. People rarely escaped bondage, and if they did, there was no means for others to hear about their transformation. Plato and Socrates may have been the ancient self-help gurus, but if one couldn’t read, and every day was spent in the fields or in the kitchen slaving away for others, personal transformation was off the table. Again, why optimism? Optimism changes our outlook from “It can’t happen for me” to “It can happen for me.” What is the “it” that can happen? Something - something can happen for me. Moving from the position of nothing can happen for me to at least something can happen for me is enough to revolutionize lives.

Network marketing works best when we use stories of how someone else succeeded in building their business or how the product miraculously healed someone. When one is new to the business, they have no personal success stories. The solution was to share someone else’s story until you had your own. Telling stories about others’ successes allowed us to dream. “If they can do it, I can do it.” And that’s how we build optimism: just like we build a business. If we have none (optimism), then borrow it from others, because if we can’t see positive changes in life, we are stuck with our current beliefs. We can read how others changed, how others succeeded, or how others healed. We need evidence of changes, even if they aren’t our own.

Claim a sense of worthiness. The narrative of guilt, shame, blame, and unworthiness is chronicled in our early literature. The Old Testament brings them up in the first few pages. The story goes like this. “You are rats and therefore you deserve nothing. No, that’s not enough; you deserve to be punished.” This rancor is doled out by an angry patriarchal figure. (Of course it is!) These pronouncements put a dark mark on, and maybe even a deep hole in, our sense of worthiness. We must say goodbye to guilt and claim our innocence. Say to yourself throughout the day, “I am innocent. I am worthy.” It is an affirmation to unravel that primal sense of shame. Keep this up for at least a month. I’ve been doing this for years! Gulp. And it does help.

Take risks, even when you are afraid. We are afraid of change. You might be miserable, but if a psychic told you he saw big changes coming in your life, you might worry. “Oh no. What? I don’t know if I want change.” Avoiding fear keeps us stuck in our sameness. It is empowering to face our physical fears as well as our emotional fears. One of my greatest fears was to do a night dive. I did it. I walked on fire. I held a large snake and allowed it to wrap itself around me, and I am really afraid of snakes. Holding the snake didn’t cure me, but I felt empowered just by doing it. Change is a risk and it usually involves fear. We must do it anyway.

While EZosophy urges us to eliminate ego-driven suffering, the philosophy recognizes that removing our predecessors’ conditioning requires courage. AND life’s worth the risk! Let’s not sit this one out. We only have one go at this life and, as the Lee Ann Womack song says, “I hope you’ll dance.” When we develop optimism, claim our sense of worthiness, and take risks, life is EZier and we will dance.

Happy New Year – Do I Need A Kick in the Butt?

The new year begins tomorrow. It’s the time for new year’s resolutions and goal setting. But before you go off in that direction, here’s an important question to consider. “Do I need a kick in the butt or a hand to hold?” Sometimes we need a kick in the butt. We’ve been lazy. We can’t get anything done. When we are in this state, we need goals, plans, and a to do list. But suppose our whole lives have been pushed to the limit by doing. If this be the case, we need a “Not to do list.” We need to take a stroll in the park and a life review. People who have had near death experiences talk about a life review; maybe we need to take a positive life review while we’re fully alive and not near death. How? Make a list of the great things we’ve done and beside each accomplishment write, “well done.” Keep it handy and review it every time the doing monster arises.

It’s important to know where we are in life. There is no one solution to any problem. If we are in a good mood, missing a meal might be fine, but if we are stressed, we may need to eliminate the stress of hunger. It’s the same way with a new year. Just because everyone else is making plans and resolutions doesn’t mean that we must. If we want to do it, if we look forward to creating a new year’s ritual with goals and resolutions, then fine, but goals are meant to pull us up, not to drag us down.

Here are some no pressure resolutions you might like:

  • I resolve to make choices that support and nurture me.

  • I resolve to be kind to myself when I make a mistake.

  • I resolve to do something fun every day.

  • I resolve to connect with my friends on a regular basis.

  • I resolve to spend more time alone, looking into my heart.

  • I resolve to not put pressure on myself if I find that I’m putting pressure on myself. No there I go again retorts, just compassion.

Make your own no fault resolutions to start out the new year, even if it’s only a verbal resolution to make no resolutions. Make it EZ, and remember the eight-word miracle mantra: “Everything can be EZ or at least EZier.” Happy New Year.

This group is a place to post uplifting affirmations and thoughts about prosperity and abundant living. Let’s create a right relationship with money so that we feel comfortable about money. Let’s use money as it’s meant to be used, and not as a way to accumulate power or to fill a void. We don’t need money to buy more stuff. We need it to create a world that works for everyone. We want to cast off old beliefs of lack and reclaim our natural state of abundance. Anne, AKA Dr. Money, posts a nightly goodnight for the prosperity team, and everyone who watches them becomes a part of the prosperity team.
