  A Note From Anne

Guided by Love, Living in Grace

Dear ,

We took our RV to Huntsville State Park for her maiden voyage. It was much more work than anticipated; think learning how to fly an airplane. Last night my husband looked at me with tired eyes and asked wearily, “What in the heck have we done?” We laughed out loud. Our plan was to live in this RV. After two days in the RV, I seriously question my sanity!

Fortunately, I believe in the Universal Law of ongoing support. It goes like this: when we make a mistake, the universe resurrects our decisions and the fallout (outcomes) from them and turns them into amazing opportunities. We are backed, loved, and assisted regardless of our circumstances, and these very circumstances turn into unique blessings and lessons. I can’t wait the see how The Supreme Okay is going to use this, because, from where I sit, it looks as if my life just opened the book on complication.

There is a biblical saying, “All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord.” A Course in Miracles elucidates, “All situations are helpful.” It is grace that makes this so; our overall good intentions supplant our individual mistakes, but grace applies when we live in love. Grace emerges when we have no intention to harm others, when we give up emotional revenge, and when we lay down any need to stimulate hate. When we are guided by love, we live in grace. When we are guided by anger and hate, we are guided by fear, and fear leads from our heart and into the desert of living.

All the above warning is a reminder that the Universe stands behind us, but until our hearts are pure, we will punish ourselves for our harmful intentions and cannot experience the grace offered to us. I’m planning on being on the right side of universal law, because when I am, I find that my life is always EZier and EZier.

Until next week,

Anne

Get Right with Money

The mention of money frequently sparks controversy. While money itself is neutral, people use it in ways that both help and harm. It is considered gauche to speak of personal finances in most circles, and when people combine spirituality and money, it freaks out some people. They may not understand that people who are on the financial edge or who suffer from money fright, need to feel safe during times of uncertainty.

When someone works for a paycheck, they receive a certain agreed upon amount every pay day. Self-employed people, especially the sole entrepreneur, must not only sell her/his goods or services; they must stay inspired to sell and resell on a regular basis. They can’t always count on a paycheck coming in. Some cannot take a vacation or take a sick day without worry, because if they don’t work, they may not have the money to pay bills.

Healthy living includes knowing how to deal with and effectively manage our finances. We must bring in more than enough money to pay our bills and to live within our means. We need enough cash to put aside money for unforeseen expenses, and to save money to pay for future wants and needs.

Many who read my newsletter are self-employed and spiritually savvy. They understand the deep connection between thought and the Source. They understand that what you think about, you bring about. If you are of that persuasion and find yourself in a tenuous financial situation, want to feel a sense of money safety, or would like to attract more money into your life, consider the following statement.

Cash Flow Blessing

I bless my mind and life with messages of abundant well-being. I am blessed with plenty of incoming cash and dwell in the ongoing prosperous nature of life. The Source is infinite and full of cash producing ideas. I receive these innovative ideas. I have all the resources necessary to enact these wealth-producing ideas. I join with the Source and rest my mind in the certainty that those ideas come to me and that I can and will act on them. I am endowed with financial responsibility and use much of my cash as a blessing to life itself. The Universe gives me the ideas, then I do the work and harvest my cash crop. My happiness is not dependent on money. Therefore I maintain a steady demeanor of happiness, whether money is coming in or flowing out of my life. More money will always come into my life. I have plenty of cash to spare and plenty of cash to share. I feel innocent about the steady flow of cash coming into my life, and I use it to meet all my financial obligations. I am free to save it, share it, and to improve my life and the lives of others with it. I also expect and receive expected and unexpected cash. My cash flow is on the go, in ever increasing ways, for my highest good. And it is so.

A seed does no good in its packet. The farmer must plant, nurture, and harvest the fruit of his/her labors. We are cash farmers. We receive ideas, then act on these ideas, and subsequently harvest our cash crops. It need not be hard. When we enthusiastically react to inspired ideas, we get paid twice: once in cash and the other time in the joy of doing our work with love. Some people say, “Do what you love, and the money will follow,” but I say, “Do everything with love and you will eventually see the connectedness and abundance of life.”

"Dig deeply into the present moment. Hunker down into now. Become the Living Presence."
-- Anne Sermons Gillis

"Enjoy your life. It’s the only one you have."

"It’s EZ. Pay attention to the drama or pay attention to the EZ."
-- Anne Sermons Gillis

I recently met Sarah Roberts at an east coast Unity Church. She is an enthusiastic person and a compassionate therapist. As we talked about shame, she remarked. “I say this to my clients several times a day, ‘Guilt, fear, or shame; probably not the thing.’” What a catchy reminder!

Hair Health

We love our hair. Women spend millions to color, cut, style, and manipulate their hair. Here are few tips for healthy hair that are free and easy to do. You may want to try this even if you have a bald head. You might restart hair growth!

  1. Practice deep breathing exercises or aerobics. Hair needs oxygen. As we get older, we tend to subventilate, so be sure that your exhale is at least as deep as your inhale. Breathe in to the count of 5 and out to the count of 5. Repeat the exercise until you have completed 10 rounds.
  2. Rub the center of the base of your neck for 5 to 10 seconds. This point works with breathing and circulation. This massage benefits more than our breathing. It also helps one relax. Rubbing this point produces mental clarity, relieves symptoms of sinusitis, and fights the common cold.
  3. Gently pull your hair. Yes grab handfuls of your hair and pull gently all over the head. Feel the energy. Wow! The head comes alive. This stimulates the hair as well as the whole body. If you are bald, tap. (Do not tap at night. Tapping wakes you up.)
  4. To stimulate hair growth, fold your fingers on both hands, put your nails together, and rub, rub rub sideways, as if you are buffing them. Go faster and faster; then relax your hands.

Here’s hoping that doing these exercises on a regular basis will give us good hair days. No “hair today and gone tomorrow.” Let’s stimulate our hair so we can have healthy, happy hair.
